Kurt Vonnegut's "Slaughterhouse-Five" has been challenged and/or banned since its original publication in 1969. It was banned due to:
1. References to religious matters
2. Explicit sexual scenes, violence, and obscene language
4. Depictions of torture, ethnic slurs, and negative portrayals of women
5. Promotion of deviant sexual behavior
...Among other things.

It's a classic piece of literature that all should read. There's no excuse for its banishment anywhere.
