For the first time, a realistic computer animation reveals the vast security system of Germany's inner border and the Berlin Wall, both of which were recreated virtually in the greatest detail.

The animation is part of the DVD "Walled in! What the Cold War frontier in divided Germany was really like" which can be purchased at DW's online store (http://store.dw-world.de).

The "sentry signal mechanism" is based on the Moisin-Nagant rifle receiver. Clever recycling.

I saw "Walled In". Amazing video and rendering, I'm now watching the making of. It is still great guys, with serious respect. Really.

But... and I'm pretty shocked to see this... did I really see you using Dell keyboards? Can you even type a single letter with these things? Even more respect!

this work here is a masterpiece! when is saw the first clip, since being from Berlin, i was amazing thinking that clip which seems to be made by a flying camera. only due to this clip, i understand how it could be possible.

Stunning work!!! I was so amazed to see the Walled in movie... i never saw such a thing before. I am from East Berlin and have sat behind this horrible wall from 1961 to 1985 until my ausreise to west berlin. This movie is a great educational document. thanks a ton for sharing ur expertise on youtube. Bin begeistert!

Thus your comment should read: Crazy evil people, for they made the dogs do a duty they themselves could not trouble themselves to do. Unless I'm wrong about your context. This wall was a horrible device that effected even my own family. Freedom is more valuable than money or security, Gaurd it well that your children may inherit it!
