To get really good distance control, you can figure the exact backstroke length required for a given putt. Do this every time and you will develop a stroke that is totally consistent. It's easy and quick to do and is explained at the visionlinegolf website. I use this method at the Golf Hall of Fame Putting Championships. Currently #2 because of my superior distance control.
