@slyguy3129 I'm the Canadian equivilent of a Republican (Conservative, formerly Reform/Canadian Alliance), but I think that Fox News showed grave disregard for journalistic integrity and accuracy by allowing that bimbo to make a fool of herself on the air. If I were her boss, I'd take her off the air - forever. This is inexcusable.

You dingdong! Tom Brokaw would have thrown darts at your pretty little face, and Peter Jennings would have rolled in his grave! Brokaw never worked at ABC (although Roone Arledge aggressively pursued him to work there back in the early 1980s - and, then, John Chancellor stepped down). Jennings would have done very well at any of the networks, but he remained at ABC for his entire news career south of the border. Get your facts straight, girl - I could do your job better than you, o-tay?

I am NOT looking for any mistake. I don't even know who this woman is, so why would I pick her to single out? However, I'm not going disregard what she said just b/c she's cute. She's the one who made the mistake. Don't put something out there if you aren't sure about it first. That's not the only mistake she made. Remember her saying Peter Jennings "stepped down"? I guess in your opinion she didn't do anything wrong in saying that, either.That was even worse than mixing up the networks.

Im not saying that its the smartest thing to do.. but as for using a different acronym (call letters for a network) its not as a collosal mistake as most other news reporters.

So basically as for "looking for anything" and comparing to others - yes you are looking for any mistake.

I'm not looking for anything. She's the one who made a complete fool of herself. She made it a big mistake when she took it on national TV. Not only does she look totally dumb, but it comes off like she was making fun of Peter Jennings dying. Even if she's not, it looks that way. She looks both dumb and insensitive.

YES, she should know! Being in the field of journalism, and on national TV, she should know the history of that area. Instead, she showed her ignorance. That's like a president not knowing the ones who came before him.
