El Arte Prerrománico abarca desde el s. VIII al X y está presente en unas 14 construcciones en toda Asturias, algunas de las cuales se encuentran en el municipio de Oviedo. Entre ellas están Sta. María del Naranaco y San Miguel de Lillo, situadas el la falda del Monte Naranco y pertenecientes al siglo IX de nuestra era.
