Several months back an Email blast was sent out to all teams inviting them to be a Beta-Test team. There was an application form and 158 teams applied. 18 teams were selected based on those applications. We were one of them.
If you are only just hearing about Beta Testing you need to get on the ball...
Hopefully your team applied for "Early Shipment" of the control system because they are being sent out in the hundreds right now.

How much does the system cost

The system isn't "For Sale". It's part of the FIRST Robotics Competition Kit of Parts. It costs $6000 to enter your first competion, which included this controller, plus a bunch of other equipment plus entry to one regional competition (worth $4000)
