The reason they wear Japanese style Gi is because Master Hung visited Japanese martial arts schools in his younger days, and was impressed by the regimentation and the uniformity of the students. He particularly like the belt grading systems, so integrated these factors into his school to give progressive advancement to his students.

Mainly like most inhabitants of this island, they have no pride in their ancesters from the Chinese mainland, and blindly worship their former colonial rulers from Japan.
