You must be kidding. Else, you are insulting Beethoven.
women = beautiful? No way.
No woman is that beautiful as this piece!

@montecalvoc It makes sense that it was written for a woman, The first movement is in C# minor and is the key of love, But its more the kind of dark love, like love wanted but never achieved, and you can almost feel the want and desire in the first movement. The second and third are beyond words, but this song as a whole, all three movements... there is nothing that compares, nothing that has or will be written that is more perfectly arranged than this.

I've searched this information on Wikipedia, and I read that "Moonlight Sonata" name was given by the poet Ludwig Rellstab, who compared it to real moonlight shining upon Lake Lucerne.

This wasn't named "moonlight sonata" by him; it was named by some person later who said that this song reminded him of the moonlight on a particular lake. He wrote this for a woman that he loved and it was called "Quasi una fantasia" - "Almost Fantasy"
