According to recent legal thesis, published in esteemed slovenian law magazine Pravnik, (Pravnik, Ljubljana 2010, Vol. 65, Nos.), not one, but two valid forms of slovenian flag exist on constitutional level, under the provisions of article 6 of Constitution of the Republic of Slovenia (Official Gazette of the Republic of Slovenia, Nos. 33I/1991-I, 42/1997, 66/2000, 24/2003, 69/2004, 69/2004, 69/2004, 68/2006).
Beside the traditional slovenian flag with horizontal geometrical colour arrangement in use, also vertical slovenian flag bares equal amount of constitutional legitimacy and could be, therefore, anytime put in use by changing some of the provisions of the Law on coat of arms, flag and anthem of the Republic of Slovenia and the Slovenian national flag (Official Gazette of the Republic of Slovenia, Nos. 67/1994, 14/1999).
By legal acceptance of the thesis on also admittable vertical geometrical design rule for the visualization of Slovenian flag Republic of Slovenia and Slovenian people would for the first time in their history obtain a legal possibility for independent use of their own national flag. Vertically transformed Slovenian flag would not at all and by no means, deviate from the traditional historical foundations of symbolic Slovenian national identity - marked colors on a recognized historical order: white-blue-red.
Hereby presented simulation shows transformation between the two constitutionally valid geometrical forms of slovenian flag.
