The Vietnam war is a war of colonial conquest. The US took over the french. Instructed the south Vietnam leader to boycott the elected democratic north Vietnam leader. This clip is excerpted from the full length video called "Nuclear weapon and international disorder".

  • More people need to know about this, now that GWB is gone, let's hope that we can stop electing characters of this kind to lead us. The destructive power that our war arsenal yields is just too great to be trusted to men (or women) of shallow rationality.

  • presidents are crazy people elected by dumb people. to keep a people dumb is simple. give them cable TV and feed them with propaganda.

make up your own minds about things you see and read in the media. don't believe everything anybody is telling you. make your own research, and alwys look at things from the other pov.

thank you my fellow americans. my name is Walter Cronkite

  • @DoubleR666 Power is evil. The American people surely didn't want to bomb innocent people, anywhere in the world, it's the Presidents and administrations that we have to represent the people. It is the almighty power that allows these evil power people to destroy the lives of people. It is those who represent innocent people as killers, the people are not killers.

  • I call BS. Where is the link to the original audio?

  • And yet, the US says that Iran cannot be trusted with having nuclear technology because they would use it. Please tell me the difference between the US and Iran. That one would use it for the sake of killing while the other would use it for the sake of imperialistic ambitions and world enslavement? To me that is the same thing. As in the famous words of Patrick Henry, "Give me Liberty, or give me Death!"

  • @1949FUCKUSA , very simplistic reactions...the true reason is always wherever there are war contractors like Brown and Root (now KBR), ther is war and/or insurrection; whether it be Bosnia, Chechnya, Rwanda, Burma, Pakistan or Libya, there is logistical operations, construction and defense support. Now DynCorp and Blackwater have private mercenaries. F#%k Obama, or USA has very little to do with it. Its the mutual interests of very big players cooperating across countries .

  • @embbric , doubtful, as long as you have the 400-500 billion dollar drug trade (that Wall Street launders and Defense Contractors and Agencies benefit from ... its too much money. Its how they move the money that can fund wars, which provide traffick lanes for more drugs. The Drug industry and the laundering of such continue to fund wars, and produce arms. With the lack of oversight, and private client services of Morgan Stanley, Deutsche Bank, etc. the Presidents change, but war goes one.

  • @perute , but the profit motive and the players are still pretty much the same. Iraq has war contractors (KBR), Vietnam and Brown and Root. Significant supporters of LBJ who first began that war. Vietnam was near Laos, which became the Golden Triangle (of drug production.). We are in Afghanistan. Afghanistan is world's largest proucer of Opium. Once you understand the war as a business factor, "escaping the past" is illusory. WAR IS Business....and cousin...business is a boomin!

  • Powerful ending!! And by the way Ellsberg IS NOT living in the past. This is American Empire squashing other countries for "our" rubber and tin then and oil and gas now.

  • Bush was not Nixon. Iraq is not Vietnam.

Sad how people can't escape the past...

  • thats way they blowup the towers
