Sorted now, in case anyone else is having the same problem, i removed the .img from the file name so it was just openaos-gingerbread and eureka!

Not working on my 101 gen8, what am I doing wrong? The Gingerbread boot doesn't show up in OpenAOS, do I need to download a different img file for step 3?

i ve noticed you 've put a finger left on the frame, while scrolled on archos.is it that cuz bad reacting a capacitive display,when the device laid down?
is a70 faster on gingerbread?

I've noted that Bluetooth and Audio isn't working on this Cyanogenmod release. I did start doing the video tutorial untill i read that. It's maybe worthwhile mentioning this on the video so people don't aimlessly follow it thinking the new ROM is going to be all singing and all dancing.

Thank you very much, got my 101 working! Only thing is though, the screen is upside down for me, when booting the 'openAOS' logo is upside down, & the screen wants to be (having to rotate it to use properly). What could be the reason for this?

@freemanwhore Nope, Archos 7HTv2 is not a Gen8 device.

@arctablet Thanks, I can't wait to try it out when it's more stable and when i talk to archos about my archos 70it usb host failure :) I saw that you have the archos 70 it, do you have the problem of the lcd distorting when you put a bit of pressure on the back of the tablet like when you touch the lcd screen on a laptop. Sorry I know it's of topic :)

@danielsf94 Yes, the LCD does distort a bit when applying a bit of pressure on the back of the device, this is probably related to the plastic/metal casing used on the products... Not much to worry about in my case.
