The prices of many natural resources and agricultural products are rising worldwide. Economists cite the weak U.S. dollar, inflationary pressure, and surging demand from countries such as China - to explain the spike in commodity prices.   • Speculators & interests n the financial industry (professional traders), are not taking ownership of "units" they purchase electronically. As such they sell to each other & buy it back, thereby bidding up the price. These are not common traders, these r large institutional traders with billions of dollars at work.

    I am ashamed news anchors & big influences in media, do not ferret this issue out & ask when did such speculation become legal again; it was disbanded following the Enron scandal.
