  • looks interesting, what are the benefits of jump squats?

  • It's a speed-strength exercise. I've used them for warm-up as a potentiator for speed/strength.

  • @lunchead it actually is a squat jump. The goal is to jump as high as possible. If you wanted to go all the way down, it would be called a deep squat jump to differentiate. It's a common exericse used for explosiveness and it's usually not done like a typical squat

  • @AvishekDrops Maybe all YOU could give pal, dont call it a 'squat jump' if there's no squatting involved

  • @paknguns so can sitting down for too long...

  • @lunchead it builds more explosive strength. that's the simple explanation and may be all you can handle

  • good job, a lot of people commenting do not know how to train ..

  • where is the squat? Those are straight jumps buddy.

  • squat all the way to the floor so you work more than just your calves, this is almost jumping off your toes

  • squat down to the floor idiot

  • No need to go parallel if he's training for vertical jump.

  • i did these today but i got parallel to the floor, great exercise but not to be used to often as it can cause pressure on spine and knees
