Hahahaah, Thanks for putting this video up, I flipped them off on a recent trip to FL. It's so funny that those stupid cops can't do that anymore!! Love love Nikki Haley!

Hey good video man. The sign that also warns of the "photo-assist" is hidden behind the Ridgeland county sign. What a cheap trick. Do you remember what milemarker they were at and what direction were u going north or south?

It's not illegal since there's actually an officer identifying the individuals speeding as the offense occurs therefore decreasing a safety risk to an officer by them not having to pull you over. I really don't see the issue, if you don't want a ticket...then DON'T SPEED!!!

@twetteroff123 People slam on their brakes when they spot a hidden patrol car parked under an overpass with an officer holding a radar gun, so how is this any different?

Notorious speed trap in violation of SC law, SC prohibits camera ticketing. If you drive a couple miles up the road you will often see Cops from Yemassee PD on the overpass shooting radar. They annexed a portion of I95 just to write tickets. Drive slow.

I moved through this speed trap at approximately 20 mph and i had no idea what was going on till I had rolled through the camera. the reason it was slow was because people are literally slamming on their breaks when they see the cameras. this results in a backup when there is moderate traffic and as everyone knows when there are random slow downs on the interstate there will be some rear endings as a result. in summary they are actually risking our safety in the name of "public safety"
Just becaue the guy is sitting in an RV just not justify the act. SC law states that this is not legal and they are working through a loophole which will be fixed shortly. The Strohm Law Firm has filed a Lawsuit against the town and the State is taking measures to change the verbage of the law they are misinterpreting. Once their cash cow is gone they will have to figure out another way. I am pro law enforcement, but I don't like the way Ridgeland is doing business. Thanks 4 ur opinion!

If you pause the video at 20sec you can see the RV on the right and the camera on the left. The Mayor commented on how the setup was plainly visible. Looks pretty hidden to me being setup behind a sign and an overpass.....LOL
