http://www.dermasolve.com/indexMM.html My story with scalp psoriasis started about 10 years ago. I was in high school, woke up that morning and decided to put on a black sweater. Through out the day I realized that my black sweater was no longer black. The sweater appeared to have a white layer of flakey snow on my shoulders. As you can imagine I was very upset and needed to find a remedy immediately. I first starting using dandruff shampoo, but all dandruff shampoos did not work. After suffering with embarrassment for a year with no cure, I did some research and here is what I found:

At the onset, scalp psoriasis often is confused with seborrheic dermatitis (a.k.a. dandruff). "Dandruff tends to itch more, and it has a greasy-appearing yellow scale; in contrast, psoriasis-whether it's on your scalp or any other body part -- tends to have a thick, silvery scale." Dr. Strachen explains. "Scalp psoriasis may itch and become easily irritated during a flare, however, and it also may affect your hairline or creep down onto your forehead, nape of your neck, or ears." And this is exactly what was happening to me. The psoriasis started creeping down on my forehead, sides of my face and ears. I desperately needed to find a solution.

I tried a number of different prescriptions from the dermatologist, nothing worked. Then I read in a magazine that the first step in treating scalp psoriasis effectively involves removing or lifting thick scales so topical medications can penetrate the problem plaques and clear them up. I took a fine-tooth come and gently combed the scalp loosening the scales. Once the scales were loosened it was time to treat my scalp with topical cream.

I read about a product called Dermasolve in a health magazine and decided to try it out, I had nothing to lose. I ordered the Dermasolve cream and Shampoo. As soon as I got the cream I applied it to my scalp. I let it sit over night. The next morning I washed my hair with the Dermasolve shampoo. I repeated this process 3 times a week, and IT WORKED! I am now down to using the shampoo twice a week and my scalp has never felt better.

Right now the company that makes Dermasolve is selling the cream with a 60 day money back guarantee on their website at www.dermasolve.com. So you can really try it risk free to see if it works for you.

  • Individuals with Scalp Psoriasis are half of the psoriasis population. The harshness of flaking ranges from petite dandruff-like flakes to plaques with thick, grey scales.Scalp psoriasis often extends past the hairline down onto the face, and on the backs of the ear. Severe scaling and flaking from psoriasis cause most psoriasis victims to experience embarrassment and emotional distress. The American Institute of Advanced Medicine offers treatment for scalp psoriasis and other skin disorders.
