@Briselance not only have i heard of the Ratte, I also knew that they were going to go even bigger. the Panzer P.1500 Monster, armed with the same 800mm cannon as the Gustav railroad gun, only on a tracked chassis. not that is just ridiculous.

engineers were not concerned about looks at all, prolly like, hey, lets make a metal square - shaped moving box... OK.
-
@andy67discofan Wie ist der Panzer denn nach Australien gekommen^^
-
Yeah. there is only one of these left, in Brisbane Australia. It was recently removed from the museum (because of the Brisbane floods) and is being restored at an undisclosed location. Its a very bad design, its basically a metal box, put on top of a commercial German tractor. Not having approach angle, like the British Lozenge shaped tanks, it couldn't cross trenches.
-
@richieboy09 This is a world war 1 tank. They didn't make spitfires yet.
-
my god! that thing isn't a target is it? lol even if it was hiding in the trees, a spitfire pilot could see then massive crosses lmao i thought the Germans were smart!!??
-
@JohnJ469, the heavy armor and multiple guns were ahead of their time. But, they lack proper engines and were too slow as well. Nevertheless, if they had being made in larger numbers & deployed in mass they could have been a factor in at least one major battle.
-
@blondysrule Nope. Just one on each side.
Not just a work of art, they were pretty tough for their time. There's a big dent near the front of ours that shows where something at least 40mm wide bounced off. The thing must have rung like a bell.
-
@PlushGallade lol, sure that works if your tank is stationary and not firing...
-
@Drainege Do you know what does camoflauge means? If so then I don't see why would you make such a dumb comments like that camoflauge allows you to hide your tank from dumb pilots and tought it was bushes plus it's really rare to see pilots can figure out those are tanks without having to spin around and observe it like a group of dumbos.

@MrWasian Lol, the Maus was the worst thing ever.
What scared the german tankers more? Little shermans and t34 or the bajillion fighter bombers? :D
The maus would have been such a huge easy slow target :)
A E50/ Standard PV4 and panther line with mabye some Tigers as support would have done MUCH better than a couple of Maus!!
ist das ein orginaler nachbau ? mit orginalen motoren und der orginalen panzerung weil es doch nur noch 1 exemplar in australien Queensland gibt oder ?
