New evidence that came to light revealed that the six Israeli security guards holed up behind a metal door inside the

security room at the Israel Embassy in Cairo fired warning shots when the protesters approached the room.

After hours of demonstrating outside the building, the raging mob succeeded in breaking down two of the three doors

that led to the room where the guards were. The security guards heard knocks on the door and shouting from outside.

After many hours they were eventually extracted from the room by Egyptian commandos and returned to Israel on

Saturday morning.

Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu said at Sunday's cabinet meeting those who participated in the attack on the embassy

in Cairo rejected peace and the state of Israel. He said the government was holding discussions with Egyptian authorities

about reinstating Israel's ambassador and the diplomatic team back in Cairo.

Netanyahu's spokesman Roni Sofer said joint efforts are underway with Egypt to reorganize the security arrangements in

order to ensure the swift return of Israeli diplomats to the Cairo embassy.

  • An Israeli government that is willing to return Israeli diplomats to a war zone, that government needs to have its head examined for sanity. It is a death ticket for any Jew who accepts to travel there. I hope that they all refuse unanimously, and then sue Bibi Netanyahu for damages for not extracting them sooner.
