  • Nice little condenser microphone. :)

May I suggest (if you use i a lot) putting the mic on a large stand and then hanging it upside down as apposed to upright. Reason being the pre-amp will heat up and cause the diaphragm to lose it's good tonal qualities.

Hanging it upside down will cause the heat to escape through the bottom of the mic as opposed to the diaphragm end.

    Good video. :)

  • thank you for the great tip, i only have it upright when its on my desk, but when im recording music (which i use it for most) its upside down on a stand like you suggested, i might have to change my setup so its upside down all the time. Again than you for this very helpful information.

  • The HV30 quality looks nice as always. Just got my own today actually. Does the Perception420 connect via mic jack, XLR, or other? You oughtta show us a demo of the sound :D

And one last question. How the hell did you meet JSR?! That's friggen awesome.

  • it connects by xlr, i will do a demo today probably. i didnt just meet jsr, i trained with him for a week, by the end of it i was clearing a 130 foot triple!

  • How much was it?

  • 300$

  • Actually Rde mics do come with shock mounts. At least I know that the NT1-a and K2 both come with shock mounts. Jus sayin...

  • the silica Gel is not to keep it fresh, the Silica Gel absorbs moisture !

  • @RiuvGuitar That's only true for tube mics.

  • @Sh0mar1 Apply phantom power.

  • how the hell do i get it to work??? i bought an interface and plugged it in but sound from the microphone... i can get playback audio from my computer but no sound from the mic... so i just bought a $249 that wont even work... how the fuck do i get it to even record, this is bullshit!!!

  • AKG FOR EVER!!!

  • The silica gel is to prevent moisture getting into the capsule of the microphone. Good idea to keep that in you case if you are going to store it in there :)

  • i don't no if anybody cares but a yha LMFAOOO

  • the silica gel is to keep moisture out of the mic capsule
