Simple explanation for god/religion: Aliens, with technology. That we will have in the future. Not sure why they don't show themselves. Probably because of all the religious people that would call them demons. They are no different than us, and they sure won't help us if we can't take care of ourselves when we are capable of.

@TN4R69 that isn't true, because for instance someone takes power by force but doesn't want the records to say that, it was a lot easier to just burn the books and everything meaning that knowledge is stored in your head, and over time it can distort and change. There are only a few instances that I remember reading about something like that happening, but just remember anyone can write a book.

@2herosofwar disabled apes? genetically speaking pigs are the closest to humans (which is fitting in some cases), not apes and evolution for the apes already happened in a sense because we supposedly evolved from them (meaning that they already evolved). I think it's good to have faith in something you can't see it gives a perspective of how short our lives are and to not waste them. I'm an atheist but even I think that there has to be something more then this.
