@ToBreakFate you might know this by now lol but yea, it's mandarin. It doesn't matter if it's in traditional or simplified, it's mandarin.
-
Written wise, both is used, it all depends on the person. Spoken dialects have nothing to do with the written characters
-
It doesnt really matter if it's traditional or simplified characters.... all that matters is that the song makes sense, has a good melody and most importantly people listens to it....
-
@ToBreakFate Mandarin can use traditional as well...
-
No Hong Kong uses traditional as well
-
@jwslam Not quite correct. As far as I understand it mainland China uses simplified characters while Taiwan uses traditional. I'm unsure about Hong Kong and Macau but I think they used traditional in the past and are currently using simplified.
Anyway to add to what everyone's been saying, dialect doesn't matter when it comes to written Chinese. Guangzhou people who speak Cantonese can read/write the very same Chinese characters that Beijing people read/write despite oral language differences.
-
@ToBreakFate They're simplified. The way to write 'last' in traditional Chinese is '最後', whereas for simplified it's '最后'.
