I was at this gig back in 83 and i can tell you Wattie was drinking whisky (neat) straight from the bottle before they came on stage buying kids drinks and talking to everyone. he must have had some speed before the performance or is an hardend alcoholic!!!

Hey s0dap0pkid, I just realised those kids drinking with Wattie b4 they went on stage were most likely me and my mates lol, we were drinking with them in a little room at the back of the hall, we were only 15 or 16 at the time. we were from Keighley, I remember 40 or 50 Bradford punks going to a party in Keighley and being set upon by a load of Keighly Skinheads.

I knew punks who wore Michael Jackson stuff, others who played Abba and Disco stuff, others who wore their best suits to shows, even a black punk who wore KKK stuff, etc, and making fun of gays was something commonplace among non-gay AND gay punks alike.
