Gig Log - Wedding - Sept. 26, 2009 - Part One (the setup)

Another great wedding! This time at the Chateau Princesse in Montreal. I got to use the new tripod covers with LED par cans to backlight, I brought the 5 foot truss with a really great light show. 2 x chauvet intimidator 1.0, chauvet colorpalette, American DJ galaxian, ADJ revo 3, ADJ mystic LED, ADJ quadgem dmx, microh ledbar for the booth with glow skirt, and the new hazer. Sound system: JBL eon G2 15", and the small sub Yorkville Elite.

Hey! Did you ever have a buzzing noise in your speakers with your Soundcard and Laptop connected? Thanks!

@iDJPaducah Not when I go through the Numark DJ I/O. If you hear the buzzing, try unplugging your laptop, just to narrow it down, often the buzz comes from the power supply. I also now use a Monster Pro 2500 conditioner that would eliminate any buzz if any. But the JBL's have a very slight buzz when turned on with nothing playing.

ye aman i have a question i wana get a light i dont no if i shold got with the techno strobes the tecno stobes rng or the led showdow wat u think i shold get

well you know I'm a big fan of "washing" the dancefloor, so my opinion for you would be not the led shadow, since thats a black light only, I'm not too sure of the others, but don't limit yourself to just a strobe, but i think the technostrobe can also act like a colorpalette for washing.

thanks man! yeah the 1.0's are great as a less expensive fixture, they don't do all the fancy stuff of the bigger scanners, but for the price they do a great job and add that look to your light show.

the two big parties that I have scheduled had to end up getting only 1 screen because of lack of space. Just got through looking at the rooms. It will still be a cool setup the way I will set it up.
