Sisters in Elementary Education

In 1940, Sister Annamae Haran, IHM made her commitment to God as an IHM Sister and nearly 70 years later, her commitment is as strong as ever. "Every day of my life has been a blessing," shares Sister Annamae. This video compliments a Christmas Appeal that was sent to generous benefactors requesting support for the retired IHM Sisters at Our Lady of Peace Residence in Scranton, Pennsylvania. Living with so many IHM Sisters at OLP is a joy to Sister Annamae. From her room, she scans the news headlines on the internet each morning. After mass she prepares a lesson for her afternoon tutoring session at the Education Enrichment Institute (EEI). If you try to call Sister Annamae in the evening, you will probably be sent to voicemail because she is on the phone with one of her many nieces or nephews.
