Thats a fine 39 Dodge.......out to treat her with a nice tarp, or better yet......a corner in your barn. Im still restoring my 27 Nash Cabriolet.......and thank God the prior owners kept her inside for the past 50 years. Good luck with that beauty.

had a 55 dodge with a flat head, started every time. you can actually hear the oil feeding back into the parts of the engine as the starter gets faster.

I've had both newer and older cars and trucks. It's possible to get a lot of miles out of either. The older vehicles tend to need frequent maintenance to be at their best. The newer ones less often but usually require special tools and equipment to do proper diagnostics and maintenance. This old Dodge here obviously has a slight coolant leak somewhere, as it's pooling up in the spark plug wells. I have an old Dodge with similar motor. Had the thing for years. Given me good service.

Heh, shit, the fast idle/choke thermostat works still. Those old dodge flat heads really were something else.
