Since mankind is inherently a scientific organism, not a merely biological one, the necessity of reinstating FDR's 1933 Glass-Steagall Act becomes understood not as merely a monetary policy, but as a crucial protection that allows the fostering of mankind's scientific and cultural potential. Several examples are given to illustrate the point. This presentation was made in May 2010.
