@ledzeplad This embalming is done to preserve the body so that it can be used for teaching purposes. Most medical students and some of paramedics should dissect human bodies during their course studies. In some parts of the world, people donate their bodies for teaching purposes. In other places, where body donation is not a norm, medical colleges seek to collect bodies of people who are friendless and add them to their reserve of bodies. Embalming prevents decomposition of tissues.
