  • She learned to speak German like that in 6 months? Sorry, I don't believe it.

  • @Kooshkff

well, she never said she learned to speak like that in half a year :-). No one can tell you how long it takes until you can talk in German fluently because that depends on so many different things. Just get started and see how it goes.

    Best from Bonn!

  • So basically im screwed 4 years of german for nothing

  • @WishMonkeyscanskype

no, you're not screwed. Actually the opposite is true because if you decide to come to Germany for your studies it will be much easier for you to settle in and understand typical customs much better due to your language skills. It's all good! :-)

  • It is possible to learn to speak German very fast....Koshkff...for me it took three months as well...the difference for me however is that I also speak Afrikaans...and it is Germanic...not the same but I could pretty much guess at some of the words and it sounded almost the same...so I had an advantage...

  • Hello Max!

I am a 2nd yr Engg. student in India in Electronics and Commn. My problem is that becoz of some reason I don't want to complete my remaing 2 yrs in India and want to finish them in Germany (was planning to do do my master's there anyway). So, could you tell me the procedure for getting admitted now in some reputed German University without having to start all over again i.e. from 1st yr itself. I am going to learn German here for the same.

    Hoping for a prompt reply

    Regards,

    Ifrah Alam
