Suwon Fortress Bell Ringing by big American 화성

A big American rings the famous bell of Hwaseong, Suwon Fortress in Suwon, Korea. Also note the little kid who's quite amused by the show! This is a UNESCO Heritage site, famous throughout Korea. It costs 1,000 won (about a buck) to ring it.

well, the fortress is famouse, the bell is not.

that bell is very recently made addition. so there is no historic value to it.

that's why people are allow to strike it with that big log as hard as they are able to.

and it is very obvious from the video, that the bell pavillion is steel reinforced concrete structure, and not made of timber.

such thin wooden pillars can not with stand bell of that size.
