This is how the drama unfolded at the 2012 London Olympics in the semi-finals of the women's epee individual tournament. I am starting the video from the last 5 seconds of the overtime priority period. Shin A Lam (KOR) has priority and will go on to the Gold Medal bout if she can hold off Britta Heidemann (GER) for 5 more seconds. Lots of doubles and the score remains 5-5 in overtime. (The first period was called for non-combativity and then next two periods were low scoring.) Watch what happens when there's only one second left on the clock...

SPOILER ALERT: Heidemann wins and goes on to the Gold Medal bout after all the controversy is settled. She loses to Shemyakina (UKR) in overtime to take the silver.

NOTE: Due to overwhelmingly negative comments toward the fencers, the nations, and the Olympics, I have removed the comments.
