GoPro 1080p HD camera. 720p mode 60fps. 2008 CBR1000RR. There is no sound because I was humming to a song... I can't add sound now because my camera was stolen by the police.

3/5/2010: Pulled over for speeding
4/7/2010: 6 Cops show up at my house with a search and seizure warrant for all of my computers, cameras and electronics.. They also bring an arrest warrant for "wiretapping" and 2 additional traffic violations. I could not go to jail due to health issues (surgery).
4/14/2010: I turned myself in and spent the night in jail. I was charged with "wiretapping." Felony- 5years $10k max fine. Bail set at $15k?
4/15/2010: Bail review - Released on my own recognizance.

As a retired cop I say this ass clown should be fired and face jail time. He is a nut case!

I would have shot him dead!

Then again, he already has a gun, and you still need to reach for a gun, giving him a reason to shoot you, John Wayne.

cop faulted when drawing the gun.. if the motorcyclist drew decently would have time for a kill shot before he recovered

Now you are just assuming stuff. The rider wasn't trying to flee from anything. He saw a car cut him off and he was simply backing up to avoid getting clipped. As a fellow rider, I've had this happen to me many times. The last thing you want to do is get in front of a nutjob who drives like this. You are clearly biased. The cop could have achieved the same if not better results pulling out his badge rather than coming out looking like a common thief out of an unmarked car.

Still gotta back it up with brandishing a firearm. That's reality. Cops have to deal with a lot of crap when they pull people over, and clearly the officer here was keeping the speeder at bay while backup arrived. Let's also observe that when the unmarked vehicle pulled in front to cut off escape, the motorcyclist started to back up to go around the officer, not knowing he was a cop. The cop reacted as soon as he could to keep the motorcyclist from getting back out on the road.

As an unmarked police officer and automobile, the officer is safer if he brandishes his weapon. If he does not, the person being pulled over or investigated may believe he or she is just a regular citizen and may feel threatened. It has happened before where unmarked officers are assaulted because the citizen thinks it is a regular person being an asshole.

He wasn't being chased by the police. The officer followed him in an unmarked car with no lights going off.
