KFOR International Children's Day, 01 June 2008

Respected children of the world,

Accept our congratulations regarding the International Childrens Day, with a message that we are ALL BORN FREE AND EQUAL.

We wish to remind that every 10th child in the world has permanent or temporary limited functions and sensitive psycho-physical conditions, which often require greater attention in preventing the negative development of such limiting functions.

We seek the construction of accessibilities for freedom of movement and with the aim for children, who are in wheel-chairs, blind children, deaf-mute children, children with limited movement, children with difficulties in memorizing, reading and studying, to be able to freely reach schools, playgrounds, relatives, friends, shops etc. without barriers.

Recognizing that life of the children throughout the world is not an easy one, where we are exposed to great risk from violence and maltreatment in the family, school, street and living environment, exploitation and human trafficking; we participate in the high mortality rate where a high number of children in the world dont get to celebrate their fifth birthday due to poor living conditions and suffering from malnutrition.

Abandoned children and children without parents need to be provided adequate conditions for their complete development of capacities and healthy grow.

Dear friends from the whole world, show support to the foundation of the Childrens Embassy with the headquarters in Mitrovica, which will have the goal to defend childrens rights and create better policies toward children.

We wish to grow up together and to achieve goals of the 21st century, where men and women will be able to equally be professional, successful, independent, medically protected, educated, informed, economically independent and happy in their families and society.

Let us all be one happy family, and fulfill our humane core that is based on equality and non-discrimination throughout all 365 days in a year!
