  • Cool xxXpepsi12Xxx very cool! And jjaassoonngg my road is covered with toads. Hundreds, crushed and alive.

  • Eurostar710, the question of why the hognose snakes venom does not subdue the toads (in my feeding observations) is a big question I have.

  • UnkownFB11, the toxin from the toad can NOT harm the eastern hognose. Their diet is about 99% toads in my area. . .and they are completely immune to toad toxins. Read up on them, they are toad specialists. Best, Kenny (NaturalistGuy).

  • Cootersowner, that's a carpet in my hallway LOL. The snake was kept on sand and detritus form its habitat.

  • I watched this in science class today

  • where did u get the toad?

  • @UnknownFB11 the poison wont do no harm as its not getting into the snakes blood stream....these snakes eat toads in the wild

  • That's crazy, I just wish he would have killed the poor thing before swallowing him. That must be an awful way to go :'( I know I know, I'm a softie, but that's why I'm glad I'm buying my BP off someone who starts them on frozen/thawed mice :)

  • The poison from that toad can harm the sanke homie, I'd be careful.

  • Awesome video and beautiful snake. What is the substrate?
