I think this is a great idea.

I wish more schools focused on African American studies. It's a shame to be brainwashed in public schools with a majority of white teachers, learning white history..

I think it's needed all over the world. Where ever black people are even Africa. Eurocentric history isnot good for tge African. This is good, great wonderful. It will help reverse the miseducation of the Negro. Intergration is not a good idea!

when you really think about it i dont see anything wrong in any type of education that gets black children like these ones to motivate themselves even more to achieve in mainstream education .. there are missing a lot of information about their african heritage and being inculcated with only european history and culture as THE ONLY defining spectrum of identity is BOUND to cause that schism ..

history and culture is just a small aspect of education, the important studies have nothing to do with history and culture. like math, science, chemistry, biology, physics, geometry, algebra, calculus, english, foreign languages, phys ed, ect. why would you base an entire school around electives? i understand kids need confidence, but segregation, really?

@JOSUE1987 Exactly....Canada's early history was written by white Europeans (English and French). And most of the country's current prosperity is due to the post-WW2 influx of white Europeans. Of course the freaking school system is going to be 'eurocentric'.

In relative terms of the contribution of non-whites, especially blacks, is virtually non-existent.

"Normal school are very european based" well the country you live in were build by european. It's only natural that they teach through a european point of view.Besides the only reason you are here in the Americas is because european brought you over.

@dgdbg Ah, but the difference here is that America is a multicultural country, and multi-ethnic nation. So, there should be more than just "white history".
