This is part one of my Ruger 10-22 Tapco build how-to.

I'm sorry about the length: I probably could have eliminated about 2 or three minutes through proper editing. The software I hve right now only lets you join together already editted stuff, add titles and credits, and add music. Basically, it SUCKS!

Before I did this build, I looked all over Youtube for a full tear down and rebuild of the 10-22 with a Tapco stock install. Didn't find anything.... Now I know why: It takes too long! Well, I did my best to show it all anyways, only cutting out a few steps.

In this part I show the paint, go over some of the details of reassembly, tell you a few things you should know based on my build, and show you the finished product. See part 2 for the conclusion.

Hopefully soon I'll have some action footage of this fun little gun, and let you know what I like or dislike about the tapco intrafuse stock system and the aftermarket extended mag release.

Enjoy!

  • why didnt you just get the od green version?

  • @yoalexsaid Not available in my local store. I would have liked to buy the coyote tan or OD version if I found it on the shelf.

  • Like the vid, but the info for the stock is wrong. The "inter" and "intra" fuse stocks are very different from each other

  • Oops - You're right - I have the "intra"fuse stock. I'll change it.

  • @NintoNL Everyone has different opinions on how they want their gun to look and they should be able to customize it how they wish (within limits). Its the same a putting a cool paint job on a car, or getting a new case for your cell phone.

  • Why does everyone put on alternate stocks on their 10/22's? Is the standard stock not good enough? Or is it ugly? Could you explain? I personally love the looks of it, especially when it has a nice scope on it...

  • great video with lots of helpful intel. big thumbs up!

  • i accidently clicked the dislike. sry my mouse finger is heavy :)

  • Great video, thank you for posting it. About to buy a 10/22 and the TAPCO Intrafuse stock and was wondering just what would be involved in assembling it. This video helped a ton. Thanks again.

  • wait the tapco interfuse stock is plastic

  • @1PATRI0T It's no problem, but when people look for the interfuse they may think that yours is it.
