  • wow that turned out VERY clean, nice work.

  • Thanks

  • what that song??? sweet swap!!

  • Thanks, the song is Bayside - Duality

  • I have a question, I'm looking at a 1jz mk3 with auto transmission and I wanted to know all I need to make it a manual transmission. Thanks

  • You can go one of two ways for a manual, You can use a r154 from a 7m-gte, but you have to find a 1j bellhousing and fly wheel to make it work. The 1j and 7mgte clutchs are the same for the r154. You can use a w58 form a mk4 every thing will fit (2j clutch, fly, bell). But dont know what kind of driveshaft you have to use or mounting. The best thing to do is to do it find one with a 5-speed on it, you will save a lot of time and money (like 500 buck or more), trust me.

  • Colbytofu, what are you basing your opinion on? Lack of ability to do such a project, or stupidity due to lack of respect for other cars? Are you one of those hardcore Honda boys or an American muscle nutswinger?

  • I want to do this to my 86.5, about how much did it cost you?

  • @xxxEmmureOwnxxx not at all, only the 7m series die to toyota not torquing the head bolts right and sending out the wrong torque specs, there was no recall

  • do 1jzgte have Head gasket problems as well?

  • Great job!! Cleaning up someones wiring mess sucks!!

  • @tylerjacobsen85 Should have just cut a hole in the firewall and fed the harness behind the dash......

  • wow i just waste 2 mins and 54 secons of my life<

  • What did you have to change like the computer and stuff?

  • @nitrousboy0311 The only thing is, alot of people don't catch the leaking head gasket right away, or they keep driving with it out of ignorance... which leads to alot more to replace than just a head gasket. When I got my supra the 7M in it didn't have a single moving part inside that wasn't damaged from the coolant in the oil and the overheating. The cams were even seized, and the rod knock was so bad the pistons left deep impressions in the head.

  • Man I wish my car was that clean before I started my swap. My engine is all done and I'm still waiting on about $1000 worth of used body and trim parts to get the car on the road.

  • Beautiful, I wonder what the drivability difference is between the 7M and 1J?
