This is at the end of the last show preformed by Witness with Billy Spence. Recorded at the Green Pine, it was in Billy's words "The end of an era." This is truly a sad clip, recorded at the end of the night, New Years' Eve 1992/93.
Witness knew how to make everbody in the house feel like a star. JD, I remember how Billy would thank you and the road crew from the stage at least once per set. When I first discovered Witness in the summer of 81, I was hooked immediately. I had to try and sneak past the doorman with fake ID. Some nights I made it in, other nights...
There were great bands in Wildwood back then, but only one Witness. Thanks for the memories JD. Still hoping for a reunion.
