@Foebane72 Hi, for me it was a surprise that the 1200, 3000 and the 4000 still had the Paula chip and they where NOT older than the Falcon. Please compare to this fact or tell us that you are talking about the first Amiga generation ;)

@karadok666 I was talking about the original Amiga 1000 and 500, and the Amiga's sound didn't improve with the A1200, they left that part of the chipset alone.

@Foebane72 The Falcon and the Amiga 1200 came in the same year (1992) so why was the Falcon several years later?

Oh, I don't doubt for a moment that the Falcon has better sound than the Amiga, but then the Falcon arrived on the scene several years AFTER the Amiga, so that's really no surprise.

yeah i believe you =) i thought falcon had specs like amiga1200 so i was a bit surprised about the sound quality&nice effects...

Actually no, it has 8 16-bit DMA audio channels, 50KHz replay quality and a M56001 DSP to process data.
