Landon's 1st Drum Kit (Ludwig Accent jr)

This is the junior kit I bought for my son Landon for Christmas..He seems so interested in my Risen Kit that I just had to get these..Amazing quality drums and the sound isn't half bad either after I tweaked them up..well I tuned the crap out of them..they sound good and only $249 new with all hardware/cymbals..I would steer clear of that Sound Percussion crap at Guitar Center..these drums BLOW THEM AWAY!!

is this model # LJR106? Im getting these for my 5 yr old. Upon getting it what do you recommend upgrading? I'm looking at getting Evans Onyx 2-ply batters, and a Gibraltar 5611 Single Bass Pedal. Still trying to sort out what cymbals I wanna go with. How has the hi-hat stand held up so far?

@RedAppleRadio Yeah I think so..For a 5yo new heads and cymbals with stands would be a good move.. Kick and hat pedals are a little weak as well..drums are good quality drums and should last him a long time with care..

My suggestion is to try Remo Emperor Coated heads on the batter side of each of the toms and bass drum, and a Remo Emperor-X head on the batter side of the snare drum.
