  • An absolutely beautiful sound, BUT, this song does not call for a beautiful slow lyrical style of singing. It's a harsh, humorous Italian madrigal. I like to hear it a little bit 'harsher'. The beauty of this doesn't fit with the lyrics of the madrigal at all.

  • The most beautiful sound is created here - it's magnificent and exceptionally musical. Intelligent thought and care has gone - not only into the formation of every phrase - but into the tone and timbre of every note. I love it ! However, it has its faults - stylistically this is incorrect. It's too perfect and does not capture the 'joke' in the piece. This is a foreigh mercinary singing to an Italian lady, his Italian is poor and he mispronounces the words . Still love it though.

  • Can you tell me something more about this madrigal?

  • Impressed

  • i'm sure everyone sung this song exactly how it was suppose to be written in the 1500's..... NOT!!!!!! everyone needs to shut their critical faces and enjoy the music for what it is. jesus christ.

  • @ravinecab

  • Beautiful singing, terrific balance and intonation. However, I don't hear the crude and humorous text reflected in such a super-lyrical interpretation.

Sounds more like a religious motet.

  • @0rth0doX YUP 1570s....I'm writing a report on this song for music history class
