As I listen to this song, I remember Bela Mukerjee saying in one of her TV interviews that Hemant in his early years stood in front of Pankaj Mallick's maholla and listened his favorite guru. I fiind striking singing similarity in

both of these great bengali musical heros.

Ah the lyrics at last! aaj after so many years,i have been able to get its wording right.Radio pi kbhi kabhi suna jata tha ,likhte sunte kabhi koi word pakar pata to kabhi koi chhoot jata.e.g.:aag ko 'aaj', bina pani patasha ghal raha ,kismat bansuri ki baanta.thanks and God bless!!
