My first time taking part in a NYC Century Bike Tour. "The Century is your ride — as challenging or relaxing as you choose, but always fun and rewarding. All routes have been carefully designed with your safety and enjoyment in mind. No matter which route you choose, you will be fully supported by experienced marshals and mechanics along the route and plentiful food at scenic rest stops. Plus on ride day all riders will receive a commemorative organic cotton t-shirt. (It is) unlike other rides. The NYC Century works as a means to show riders how they can connect to different neighborhoods and boroughs of the city safely. To illustrate cyclists' rights to the streets, there will be no street closings; cyclists ride with traffic along New York City Streets and must obey all traffic laws." quoted from www.transalt.org.
I had such a great time and am very proud of my accomplishment! I set out to do 35 miles and ended up doing 55! "Phoebe rode well, the weather was great and my body did not fail. Who's going to join me next year?
Is the 100 mile ride hard? I am a rollerblader and I don;t ow a bike anymore ut I usd to love to bike. But I have a congenital knee disorder in my left knee. Would the 100 mile ride be such an issue? I was thinking about just doing the 55 to be safe... I think the 100 would be a stretch.. any comments?

Pitty that your audio is gone... It could be so much better if we could hear what you have to tell us.
