LYON ARBORETUM and AIHUALAMA FALLS HD "Waydes World Hawaii"

HIKE (Easy) "CHILD FRIENDLY" We spent the morning hiking LYON ARBORETUM...Make sure you give yourself time to do this hike, you could spend half a day up here with all the trails off the beaten path. If you are new to this area please stop at the Arboretum office and get yourself a map. When there they ask for a $5.00 donation but it's your choice. Not to many go to these Botanical Gardens (Arboretum) once called Paradise Park. You will be all alone in the Tropical Rain Forest surrounded by Parrots and amazing singing birds...YOU WILL HEAR THEM AS THEY FLY above you. YOU WILL NOT see these amazing birds on the next door hike at Manoa Falls. They are located in a very small area up in the Arboretum. Go to the clearing up at INSPIRATION POINT and sit at the benches. Wait, they will come. DONT MISS THIS TREAT! Once you get your fill of these amazing Parrots work your way back down to the main trail. You will reach an old Haunted station and Waterfall. Please note these Falls DO NOT always have running water so please don't be disappointed if you come here in summer. If you are lucky there will be a small and beautiful fall and you will be by yourself. Enjoy another FREE day in Paradise!!!

Wayde, Thank you so much for making your vids! Have a question. Dose the "Non-main path" to the left in your video that leads to the "main path" pass the water fall? or once it gets to the "main path" does the mean path lead up to the fall? We want to do the Non main path but we don't want to miss the water fall. I hope this is not to confusing. Thanks!

@s8skanna First off, the main trail that leads to the Waterfall doesn't start till 4:55 in the video. The first 4min and 55sec of the Video is the "Non-main path'...The "Non-main path does NOT lead to the waterfall...You can do the "non-main path first AND take it to the "main path" which leads to the waterfall...This is a VERY large place and there are many side paths...You can easily get side tracked...go to the LYONS ARBORETUM website to print out a map.

I know that area well because I visit those garden every time we are on O'ahu. I was there last Sep. 2009. I love palms and at Lyon they have lots of different palms. Great vid. Two Thumbs up.
