The Gumpert Apollo is the first vehicle produced by German automaker Gumpert Sportwagenmanufaktur GmbH in Altenburg.
4163 cc engine (available with twin turbos) with 90 degree cylinder angle. Closed-Deck light metal crankcase, light metal cylinder heads with five valves per cylinder, four overhead camshafts, variable valve timing (Vario Cam Direct) on the intake, Hydraulic valve clearance compensation, dry sump lubrication, double-flow exhaust system with 3-way catalytic converter, four Lambda probes for gas mixture and diagnostics, On-board diagnostic System, intercooler, Engine Management ME7.11, electronic ignition with a rested ignition distribution (eight ignition coils), sequential multipoint fuel injection, electronic accelerator system (Drive-by-Wire)
There are 3 engine types available, a base version for the amateur with about 650 bhp (485 kW; 659 PS), a sport for more experienced drivers with around 700 bhp (522 kW; 710 PS), and a fully unleashed race version with around 800 bhp (597 kW; 811 PS).
