Filmed on the Yellowstone Valley Model Railroad Club's layout, located in Billings, MT.
Two passenger trains belonging to YYMRC member Scott Benson. The first is a representation of Amtrak's Empire Builder of the late 1990's. Locomotives are Kato F40PH's equipped with Digitrax sound decoders with a custom sound scheme. The Superliners and express cars are Walthers.
The second train is a representation of Milwaukee Road's famous Twin Cities Hiawatha that operated between Chicago and Minneapolis/St. Paul circa 1952. Locomotives are sound equipped Intermountain FP7's, accurate for the train, and the cars are also from Walthers.

  • 20 seconds in I realize it's a model train. lol

  • Tunnel City, Wisconsin Then & Now!

  • @JIMBOSKI58 There was only one dining car on the train. The Phase IV and IVb have the the Seattle coaches in between the Dining Car and Sightseer Lounge.

  • Hate to be a purist but you had 2 diners instead of the usual 1. The Phase III consist usually had a lounge car behind the diner. Nice job.
