Even a Trane come come from the factory as a P.O.S. these days.

Just goes to show you that quality has diminished in pretty much ALL HVAC manufactures!

  • I would say that this has to be a system problem and not a unit problem. Two many f....ups in one unit. The guy welding the pipes in the unit is not the same guy who made the compressor. If something is out of the ordinary look for other causes.

  • It was a BRAND NEW unit. Obviously a LEMON no matter how yo uslice it. It must have been BEER-THIRTY for whoever the factory worker was. I've liked Trane, but they don't hold a candle in quality of the old Tranes. Sorry. Not even the Voyager's I work on daily. Controls are nicer, but quality of piping and metal is cheap.

  • i've seen copper lines stretched too much and crack from being too thin but dont you think that after running for a year you suddenly pop all these leaks(especially one in the midle of the compressor, not even on a weld)dont u think something else is going on?? slugging? vibration?

  • It ran longer after the repair than it did before the repair. This company did some questionable installs especially on split systems, but this was not install related. And besides, the OLD Trane quality would have lasted a lot longer in worse conditions! This was a lemon if we ever did see one. My coworker did the repair and filmed this.

  • In my experience its been harder to start a trane

  • Nice. That can be true sometimes.

  • @mritalian1 well dumbass, I'm going to be the tech installing it, and when I install it REALLY GREAT it will last a LONG time. You need to do some research on brands like Goodman that made BAD units a while back, but had a DRASTIC improvement now adays. If you want to watch the Goodman quality control video go to youtube user GoodmanGuy93's channel and watch the featured video.

  • @TheHvacdude101

good luck with that goodman being really great...... your an idiot if you think a new goodman is better than anything, except maybe nordyn crap. also if you live in florida, and know your stuff than you would know that anything over 15 - 16 seer just doesnt work very well. there isnt any humidity control when you go that high.

hope you get a GREAT warrenty on that system, especially since it is mostly hacks who are installing goodmans....

  • this unit has been worked on b 4 those r not factory solder joints

  • @demmylowther I would love to re make that commercial. The new slogan would be" NOTHING STOPS A TRANE WRECK" I have a new unit that stops working every three weeks.......

  • Quality is compromised for the dollar every where these days-useless

  • How many bids have I lost going up against a "NOTHING STOPS A TRANE" piece of shit Trane dealer ! Trane is thee most over rated piece of crap out there.Yes,astetically it looks nice, but mechanically THEY SUCK !

  • copeland scrolls!! woot
