Trashy Games #43: Bubsy 3D (PS1)

It's finally here... the worst PS1 game ever made to which SpaceNinja once again provided footage of this, after he got around many problems when recording it.

There are a myriad of things wrong with this game. The hideous graphics, Bubsy's obnoxious voice which is far worse than Awesome Possum's, mundane gameplay, shoddy controls, and that scratching noise that occurs in the game's background music. I don't even know if it's part of the music or not but it's so annoying to listen to.

You should review Mort the Chicken, It's got the same terrible graphics and the enemys are cubes >_>

I'm sure Lani Minella is a fine voice actress elsewhere, but in this case, ugh...

This game killed the "Bubsy" franchise, which is a shame because I liked the SNES games. The voice actor (or probably actress) reminds me of the one that did the voice for Scrappy-Doo's friend on the 80s cartoon "The 13 Ghosts of Scooby-Doo" (that annoying androgynous kid that would tag along; he was vaguely Latino, I think).

I remember buying this second hand and thinking what a mistake that was!

It does have that weird trippy feel to it that did keep me playing through a few levels though.

It's like one big bad acid trip. Strangely alluring. Maybe I'm just crazy but I found it kind of enjoyable. Can this game be honestly compared to anything similar? Because I am yet to come across a game as wacked out at this. For that, I give it some kudos.
