Что меня больше всего удивляет - так это то, что машину разработки 40-летней давности сравнивают с новыми моделями. Это буквально комплимент Ниве. Особенно порадовало сравнение с Порш Кайен - может сразу с танком сравним? XD

@Juhumbo Neither of those is a SUV. SUVs are just high wagon cars that have a four wheel drive for no actual reason. These cars are built to be able to move on harsh terrain. And they're actually beautiful in their simple practicalness and ruggedness. VW Touareg is ugly as shit, it's a dick made out of steel for those that absolutely lack any balls. You couldn't travel any further than a gravel road with your SUVs.

была у меня Нива - качество деталей и ресурс двигателя - увы,,,так себе,,ну да там проходимость есть - это пожалуй и все и низкая цена - хотя за такое качество - цена слишком задранна, притом безопасность и комфорт в салоне отсутствуют

@Klaud174 цена - это верно - но надо учитывать более частый ремонт Нивы и меньший ресурс двигателя Нивы и деталей, по опыту знаю плюс полное отсутствие систем безопасности - если авария - то травмы очень тяжелые

After a few kilometers in the lada, we see how spoilt we really are by our modern high-tech cars.

Driving the Niva means falling back into technological stone age.

No servo steering, no antilock braking system, no airbags, just this persistent vibrating and shaking, even more at higher speeds.

It´s not the lada´s fault but the capitalist progress.

the cabrio-jimny feels kind of modern and a lot more like a car.

@AmBockshorn Although the Lada Niva is more yesterday-like, developed in russia in 1967, this hero of work hasn´t been changed recently and out of it´s former market share of about 40% in the eighties, nothing has left.

the actuall jimny is the great-grandchild of the legendary LJ80.

published in 1998 the jimny offers open-air-feeling for extra 200 €, so he´s one of the cheapest 4-seat drop-tops. additional offroad-fun included.
