A demo of the Reichenbach Reaktor ensemble. Reichenbach is my tool for exploring Steve Reich style phase-shifted looping but is also heavily influenced by Metaphysical Function. The RB signal chain is modelled, in so far as I am able, after that ensemble. Whether that's a good thing or not is something I am still exploring.

Note that the user interface is still very much in the prototype phase and is constantly getting mucked about. If there is anyone out there who would like to help with a panel design or knobs please drop me a line.

  • very nice work!!!perfect for ambient soundscapes...do you will share it in the community?

  • @JAKOMAD1 the final instrument, Reichatron, is available from the Reaktor User LIbrary.

  • Fascinating! Reich influences are blatently obvious and wicked! Why did you have some loops going faster than others? To get a phase shifting effect I take it?

  • Yes indeed. In the simplest configuration running one looper at a slightly different speed that the other means it will drift out of, and then back in to, phase with the other. It's an interesting effect on it's own.
