Awesome players and songs. BTW, I think it is XYG not XYZ, as noted Wikipedia, under Hiromi Uehara, under the album Beyond Standard. Regardless, that's a minor point, and the music is what matters, and Hiromi is simply amazing by any title. Thanks for posting this!!!

But could they do it in a polyrhythm, while holding the bassline in the left hand, AND make it sound musical? Yeah, didn't think so. That's what extended technique is all about. Most of it is shit "any idiot could do" but doing it MUSICALLY is a challenge, and Hiromi nails the fist pounding -- rhythmically and harmonically.
