  • I talked with Shirley Horn about this song, suggesting this might be a good one for her to do a remake; Horn said she remembered the version she first heard was by a male vocalist and before Billie's. Then Horn surprised me by saying that she had been thinking about doing the entire "Lady In Satin" album for one of her next releases. Naturally, I flipped---"Lady In Satin: Shirley Horn Sings Billie Holiday (Verve Records)" would have rocked the entire music world, garnering Shirley's 2nd Grammy

    Interesting to see photos with that that black asshole Louis that she was crazy about and wasted her later years on . . . eyewitneses have told how they saw her on the floor in agony, while he kicked her . . . over and over and over . . .

    The BETTER stuff . . . help an ageing guys' memory . . . an instrumental version of this tune was the theme for some famous radio/TV star . . . WHO?
